you can use lemon, vinegars, mustard. Whatever you can imagine. Many times mixing these ingredients with a packet of Splenda is delicious!
So...any vinegar that has nothing added, like balsamic, apple cider, rice wine, etc.? Is mustard the only way to get something "creamy"? I miss that texture! What about tomoato sauce that is just tomatoes and spices? Great info, thanks Misty.
Well here is the thing, you just need to try to be creative. I have used balsamic (sparingly). Rice vinegar has sugar doesnt it? Tomatoe juice or sauce has extra calories. I love mustard for the creaminess too. If you like honey mustard try mustard and splenda its a great substitute!
READ READ READ labels. I also use the juice from the orange I eat at my snack. No added calories and more variety!
Hi, I'm new to the forum but I would like to suggest a recipe I have used for a long time. I mix mustard, various seasonings, (garlic or onion powder) apple vinegar to taste, sweetener and raspberries or strawberries in the blender. Add a little water if it's too thick. It only takes up one of your fruit servings and it's delicious! Very gourmet!
Welcome to the forum!
That recipe sounds delicious cant wait to try it, but I would suggest not using the raspberries until phase 3, when you can add them sparingly into your diet.
Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks. The diet I found includes raspberries, but you can use strawberries or citrus too.
When I read you could use raspberries "sparingly" in phase 3 I became confused. I heading into phase three in 4 days and I thought you could have any fruit as long as you maintain 800 calorie diet and no sugars or carbs. Can you explain so I get phase three right?
I totally misworded that...
here is what I meant, I dont count calories on phase 3. What I have read though is that since fruit is high in sugar you dont want to go overboard because maintaining your weight will be difficult as fruit tends to be higher in calories.
As a PERSONAL decision I do that because I want to learn how to maintain without counting calories.
Sorry for the confusion I was thinking outloud!
Are the drops only used in Phase 1? And can u have pickles are actually cucumbers that have been sitting in a salt brine solution.
Phase one is the two load up days. Phase two are the VLCD days. So yes they are used in P1 and P2.
and no pickles sorry
Sounds delicious but I would suggest stevia rather than splenda.
Is that prepared mustard or the powder and if I follow Simeons protocol do I have to count calories? I am getting so stressed because I am not getting my full amnt of calories in.
One more question. I live in Canada and got some The "ultimate homeopathic drops" w/potency 10x 30x LM1. Is this good OK or not?
