What 100 Cals Looks Like

One of the problems about being “on a diet” is the obsession it can entail, and the constant need to check your calorie count every time you eat.

Personally I can’t stand calorie counting and would rather weight or measure than start working out calories.

I have over time learned to eyeball the correct quantity of food for me to consume.

I was not sure whether to categorise the following video as obsessive or helpful, but then I thought that the latter would be a better choice of words to describe it.

Once seen never forgotten. (Maybe yes maybe know, but it does give you a good visualization of what foods to stay away from :-)

Your Welcome. I find that learning to eye ball things makes it a lot easier to keep on track.

interesting, I feel like I need to completely rethink my way around food, what portions should be and what I can eat and what I want to eat. It seems like a huge task, but I’m sure most people have learnt it, so I must be able too.

Hey honeydee - If most people had learnt it there wouldn’t be so many over weight people… :-) The way I did it was measured things out first (I preferred to weight them, or if it was liquid use a measuring cup - and just start noticing how much room they took up on my plate or how high the fluid was in a bowl or cup… it will come easily if you pay attention and notice the proportions of your portion to the plate or fork or cup that you usually use.
    Good luck!

A person at work has a diet plate, I only overheard her conversation with someone else, but it sounded like the plate was patterned to show how much each portion should be, that seems like a good idea to me, although it might be cheaper to just out how much I should have on the plate myself.

That actually seems like a great idea, but I am sure it is probably over priced, and if you have eyeballing abilities you should be able to learn what your plate should look like…
