My biggest problem is sugar cravings and fast food cravings, which I know is sort of the same thing. I would like to start eating wholefoods as a way of life and also a way to lose weight, but I was wondering what happens with sugar cravings - If anyone here is eating like that could you share with me?

OK. This might sound strange. Probably because it IS strange but... this might be a hormonal thing. Did you notice men don't have these sugar cravings as much as women has them? Or elderly ladies for that matter....
I think there are certain hormones involved in this but these can be 'overwon' by steadily upholding a diet you like to follow because after the initial difficult time you will automatically start to like it

(hormones are adjusting themselves)

perhaps I am way out of line here but this is what I have concluded and my own personal opinion.

I have given up sugar several times -- once for four years. If you, like me, have been consuming huge amounts of sugar then you can expect some nasty withdrawal symptoms that feel like the flu -- they should pass by the end of the week.

Without sugar and flour I have a lot more energy and wake up glad to be alive and free of joint pain.
