This is a really good recipe, I have found a few of these along with a tablespoon of light sugar-free smuckers` - holds me til lunch.
Low-Fat Biscuits Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour 1/2 cup enriched white flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup liquid (soymilk, skim milk, or water) To Prepare: Mix dry ingredients together in bowl. Add liquid, stirring with fingers, until dough comes together in firm but slightly sticky ball. Should be dry enough to hold its shape, and damp enough not to crack too badly when formed. Divide into eight or ten roughly equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball, then flatten to uniform thickness of about 1/2 inch. Put them on a nonstick baking sheet, or a tinfoil-covered baking sheet. Bake at 450 - 460 degrees for 8-12 minutes or until they start to brown. calorie counts based on soymilk, using water or skim-fat free milk will give slightly different numbers. 8=109calories each 10=87calories each
