Just wondering which type of bread-type foods have the lowest carbs. Things like Pita bread, naan bread, bagels, eng muffins etc, etc. Is there something that I can be using instead of whole wheat bread to lessen my carb count? I went the the grocery store to look for myself but many of these foods do not have the nutritional info listed.

There is a new bread out that is lower carb/slice even than the light breads that popped up a few years ago. It is 9 grms carbo/slice, does not taste too bad. There are two types on a main stream grocery shelf here in the DC area. Honestly I cannot remember the names, but they are both by largish bakeries. Maybe a Sunbeam, Roman Meal label. Golden grain comes to mind too. In any event, I don't know if this is low enough for you. Also, The
Vitamin Shoppe has a large low carb area with a selection of bread mixes.
Be forewarned, though. they tend to be higher fat. Elise

Have you tried putting one between two damp paper towels and nuking it in the microwave for ~15 seconds? . It kinda depends on the power of your microwave how long. I find this procedure necessary for the whole wheat and other non-traditional tortillas to make them more pliable and rollable.
