Thanks for the help Katiepen. How long are each of the phases? I've heard from a few that the first week or so you feel the low blood sugar and may be dizzy. Was that the case with you? I'm on my way to get the book now. Again, thanks and good luck on phase 4!!

Critters here again...
I have the book now. Just have a question about the difference between injections and sublingual. What is the difference? I know someone that does under the tongue and someone that does injection. Sounds like under the tongue is a bit more mixing up the concoction and the injection comes done...what else? The injection person I know says that the under the tongue is a fraud??
Thanks for the help.

Hi Critters
I did the injections. They were easy and relatively painless. I have seen posts of people doing the sublingual and they say it works. But I've also seen alot said about the sublingual not being true hcg. I don't know, I just know for me that I wanted to stay with the tried and true method of injections. That's what was originally recommended by Dr. Simeon and it is also what is recommended in Kevin Trudeau's book. Plus that's what worked for me.

Well, I did my two load days, and am now just finishing up day one of 500 calories. It seems to not be too difficult. However, I felt nausea after each of my meals. Is this common. I'm also very tired tonight, which I heard is expected. Just wondering if there's anything to do about the nausea.

Hi Critters
That's pretty normal the first couple days, it should go away. I think that it's just your body getting used to things. The first week is the hardest once you get past that it's easy sailing.
I just started back on my shots for round 2 so we can go through this together. I'm excited to see the scale start going down again. It's been very easy to maintain these last 6 weeks but losing again will be exciting.

Good luck on the second round Katiepen!.
I feel much better today. The scale this morning was down 3 pounds exactly. I can handle that!
How much did you lose in the first round? Did you do the 23 days? or more? I'm excited, but hope my energy returns.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the board but about to begin HCG soon. I was wondering does using injections or sublingual render the best results. I plan to use injections but may switch later. Has anyone went longer than the 40 injections period and kept losing without becoming immune? Thanks.

Hi Critters
I lost 22 pounds in 5 weeks. I hit immunity so I had to stop. It was very obvious when the hcg stopped working, I was crazy ravenous by lunch, I could've basically lost my mind, LaceLynn I don't advise going there, stop before it hits. Plus you don't want to risk having to wait even longer in between rounds. The 6 weeks in between was so easy to maintain, I only had to do a "steak" day once in the first week. Now I'm back on the shots and I've lost 4 pounds so far, yeah! It's so exciting to see the scale go down again.
critters, your energy will get better by the 2nd week. I usually feel great by the 2nd week, full of energy. Just make sure that you're getting plenty of sleep, try to get some extra in this first week. Plus, are you drinking a lot of tea? Yerba mate is my lifesaver on this protocol, I drink it all day. Plus Kevin Trudeau recommends wu long tea and chamomile at night. Congratulations on your weight loss!

Hello everyone,
Renee thanks for the welcome and katiepen thanks for the helpful info as well. I'm so happy my supplies for injection arrived a few minutes ago, so know I just wait for the HCG. It may be 3 weeks, so I'm going to do at least 2 cleanses and start the tea and try to do the sauna at my gym. I read the Kevin Trudeau book and hope to have great results if I implement some of his phase 1 do's and don'ts. Did anyone else do any cleanses? Do you get in all the 1/2-1 gallon of water? Thanks so much for sharing, and congratulations on your successes!

I didn't do any cleanses, but wish I had. You can lose a substantial amount of weight that way. My mother in law didn't and I was in such a hurry to get started, I kind of went by what she did.
As far as water, I do 1/2 gallon and that tends to be a struggle for me. My husband is doing it as well and he gets in a full gallon.
I'm on day 3 and have lost 7 pounds!! I'm so excited and finally the nausea has subsided and the energy is slowly coming back.
Good luck Laceylynn! Go for the cleanses and drink that tea!!

Thank you Renee!
Lacelynn- I did some of the cleanses. I did the 4 month candida cleanse which was really important but Kevin says that you can do that after the protocol too. I tried to implement as much of phase 1 as I could, it's a daunting list and by no means can you do it all but the more that you can do the easier phase 2 will be. I just got the cleanses at the health food store. And I did the colonics, 15 in 30 days, but as many as you can do the better even if it's just a couple. And yes, I have to work at it but I drink at least 1/2 gallon of water a day. I just make sure that I always have water with me everywhere I go.
Critters- Way to go!

My questions today are...
if any of you went all organic products for body cleansing, what have you found works the best. I'm not fond of my new shampoo and need a recommendation, also for acne, is there anything good out there organic wise? Oh and make up? Where do I even go for that?

Critters, Congrats on losing 7 lbs in 3 days wow. I'll take your suggestion and do the cleanse. I bought the total cleanse at GNC. I'll start it Monday because I have to be out this weekend.I heard bare minerals make-up is acceptable, it's easy to find too.
Katiepen, 22lbs WOW!! Congrats. I want to find a colonic clinic here in Michigan. Is it expensive, painful?
I just brought some bragg raw cider, Extra virgin coconut oil, from GNC. I also purchased the wu long tea by okuma off ebay. I will start that when it gets here as I still wait for my HCG.
Thanks everyone

Hi Critters
Colonics are not painful at all. I was really weired out at first too, scared of the unknown, but after my first one I was totally comfortable and fascinated. You can see in the tube what comes out and it's really crazy how much junk is stuck on the walls of the colon. You feel great after, and you do lose weight too. Just make sure to find a clinic with a practioner that you feel comfortable with. Mine makes me laugh and chats with me the whole time and makes me totally forget that there is a tube up my booty.
Renee- As you probably guessed from the above discussion colonics are colon irrigation to clean out the colon. They are very healthy and help to hydrate the colon and remove years of waste that is stuck on the walls. There are a host of health benefits attached including weight loss, clear skin and eyes, better bowel function, more energy, etc.

Hi Critters
I stop the injections during my period for 3 days. I have a fairly light period so I'm starting to slow down and finish by then. I continue the diet and I feel fine. I usually don't lose weight during my period but I think that has more to do with hormones and water weight.

I am 42 years old and have suffered with PCOS for most of my life. I have been to hundred of doctors that told me to eat less and exercise and gave me Metformin which made me sick and has never worked. The last few doctors told me to take antidepressants and sleeping pills. A friend told me about a clinic by my house that specializes in natural hormone replacement therapy. I found out that they were also doing the Dr. Simeons weight loss plan. I felt good about the Nurse Practitioner because she used to be a Nursing Professor and is known in the community to be very good. I am on the second phase of the plan and am ecstatic to say that I am down over 40 pounds. My PCOS is no longer there. I had my first period in over ten months and I feel great. I had thought about ordering the medication over the internet but was glad that I did not when I realized that the medication over the internet is illegal. This is because you do not really know where it is coming from. One "Canadian" internet company was actually getting the medication from Mexico. You inject this into your body. Why not just get a real prescription from a real practitioner that can safely give you what you need to be successful. The Wellnique Health Center phone number is 801-225-2623. I hope this helps someone.

MichelleAnnette, welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here.
Thank you for telling your story. I appreciate it
I think you are on to something here. Indeed, indeed, you never know where it's coming from if you order via the internet. Why do you think people wanting to use this diet do so anyway? Is it hard to get a prescription for it from an established practitioner?

I have been on the hCG diet for six days. It is so different from other diets I have tried in the past. The biggest difference is that after the first few days, the hunger went away and I have felt absolutely great, almost euphoric. This is what I was told would happen when, under the influence of hCG, my body begins to finally release the toxic fat and make it available for calories. As a registered nurse, before deciding to follow this diet, I carefully read the protocol and many websites both pro and con. I read a scientific research paper in which the researchers put two groups of people on identical diets except that one group took hCG. The researchers closely monitored the progress of each group including their food logs. At the end of the research project, the average weight loss for the group without the hCG was around 9 pounds. The group taking the hCG averaged 19 pounds. Big difference. In the conclusion, the researchers said they were surprised by the results. Many, many people have lost a great deal of weight on this diet. It is still too early for me to know as I have a damaged metabolism from years of being on Adderall for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and so am not loosing weight as rapidly as most. But I will be able to maintain this diet instead of giving up because I'm not fighting hunger. This is the miraculous part, to be able to maintain a 500 calorie a day diet and not be hungry.

I'm a 65 year old woman who has been fat/obese for 30 years. I'm just starting the Simeons diet for the third time. First time I lost 35lbs, 2nd time I only lost 20, and this time I hope to loose 30-35 lbs. My older sister lost 32 lbs and has held it, and will be going back on this month. My brother (51) lost 32 the first time, and cheated on maintenance the second time. He's also back on it this month. It is the easiest diet I've ever been on, and yes, I did loose the blubber on my hips, legs and belly. It took time for my body dimentions to adjust after the diet. Giving myself shots is easy. Staying on the diet is easy. My only side effects is being cold a lot, and needing to eat an apple in the morning to avoid being woozie. I now look and feel better than I have in years, and my family is thrilled.

WOW!!! Some very long and informative posts in this article. just 2 things (can you believe it... only 2) that need to be corrected in all of this.
1. Someone mentioned that they were getting their nutrients from the 500 calorie diets and the effects of the HCG Diet Protocol. Correction - Calories - YES, Nutrients - NO.
Can one lose weight and live with this diet? Most definitely. Is it healthy? In the long run, NO it is not.
2. No matter whether you are able to lose weight with this diet or not, If you don't incorporate some progressive resistance exercise into your lifestyle... It will not last. As we age out bone density and muscle mass deteriorates. Calcium may help the bone density situation a little but weight bearing exercise is best to combat the weak bone problem and there is no better way to beat the Muscle wasting problem than with working to build the body.
Don't just be satisfied with weight loss for a few months or even years. Seek fitness for life.
Coach
PS. the toxicity issue as it relates to weight loss most often has to do with impaired liver function. This can often be corrected with supplementation.
PPS. Probably a good idea not to come down so hard on someone just because they have a differing opinion than yours. While passion is good, there is greatness in compassion.
PEACE
