I was trying to lose weight before vacation on Feb 16th (in 9 days)... but I can't maintain this 500 calorie diet. How do I get off HCG the right way? or do I stay on it? How much could I lose in 9 days if I did the diet? What are my options?

The right way to end your drops is to stop taking the drops. For the following 72 hours (this is very important, not just 3 days but the full 72 hours) remain on the VLCD 500 calories. After you have done this you should start P3 to avoid gaining your weight lost back. Essentially still avoiding sugar and starches, but increasing your calories.

It is recommended to stay on the program for a minimum of 21 days, although things happen and some people find that it's just not for them.

Another thing to consider is that if you continue to take the drops to lose a few more pounds before vacation, make sure you stop 72 hours before to get the HCG out of your system if you will not be able to maintain the 500 calorie diet on your vacation. If you still have the HCG in your system and are consuming sugars and starches (especially together) you could actually end up gaining back more than you have lost.

The average weight loss is about .5 - 1 pound per day if you are following the prescribed foods and allowances.

Another key note is that it takes 3 weeks to reset your hypothalamus in P3.
